Sara Risher
Joined New Line Cinema in its infancy in 1975 to manage all filmmaking activies, including development, physical production and acquisitions. As President of Production, supervised the development and production of over 50 feature films, including the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Nightmare on Elm Street franchises. Was elevated to Chairman of Production in 1995, and oversaw production of a number of New Line franchise projects, culminating in the Lord of the Rings trilogy LA Femme Film Festival Executive Achievement Award 2007

Nightmare on Elm Street

Set in 1960's Baltimore, a comedy about a heavy-set teen (Lake) who, against expectations, realizes her dream of becoming a dancer on a TV show. Once in the limelight she uses the forum as a way to express her beliefs in integration, only to clash heads with the shows ex-star and her parents. Remade in 2007 by New Line Cinema as a musical starring John Travolta and Zac Efron.

The true story behind Ernest Hemingway's classic World War I novel "A Farewell to Arms" explores the romance that develops after an 18 year-old Hemingway is nursed back to health by Red Cross nurse Agnes Von Kurowsky following an injury on the battlefield. Partially based on Kurowsky's diaries, the summer of 1918 becomes a time that forever changes both of their lives.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Starring Elias Koteas, Corey Feldman & Sam Rockwell. Directed by Steve Barron, Michael Pressman and Stuart Gillard respectively for New Line Cinema. Through contact with a mysterious substance, called Ooze, four little turtles in the canalization of New York mutate into giant turtles. They can speak, walk upright and love pizza. Trained by their mentor in “ninjitsu”, the four must learn to pull together in order to face their arch enemy, Shredder and the Foot Clan.
